The Education Exchange Fall Semester Begins September 15

Community is invited to Open House events September 2nd & 3rd to explore adult education & job skills training opportunities available during the Fall Semester
August 13, 2009 – Wakefield, RI – The Education Exchange, a non-profit provider of adult education and job skills training programs throughout southern Rhode Island, will begin its Fall Semester on September 15, 2009.  Prior to the beginning of the semester, the Education Exchange will hold Open House events in Wakefield and Westerly on September 2 & 3, 2009.

Potential students, families, friends, and members of the community are welcome to attend these Open Houses to learn more about the adult literacy and job skills training programs being offered throughout southern Rhode Island at convenient and accessible locations.   The Education Exchange staff will be available at each session to provide additional information and answer any questions. 

The September 2nd Open Houses will be held at the Education Exchange in Wakefield (Stedman Government Center, 4808 Tower Hill Road) from 9:30-11:30AM and again from 6:00-8:00PM.  Open House events will also be held in Westerly on September 3, 2009 from 9:30-11:30AM at the Bradford Jonnycake Center of Westerly (23 Industrial Avenue) and from 6:00-8:00PM at Babcock Hall (15 Highland Avenue).

The programs being offered during the Education Exchange Fall Semester include: Adult Literacy, ESL, standard and FasTrack GED preparation, GED testing, and Accuplacer preparation.  Computer classes, job skills training opportunities, and certification programs will also be available throughout the semester.  Students are encouraged to explore all of the workforce development and cultural enrichment programs at the Education Exchange.
