April 9, 2009 - Wakefield, RI – The Education Exchange, a non-profit provider of affordable, convenient, and accessible adult education and job skills training programs throughout southern Rhode Island, today announced that it will offer a Resume Writing Workshop in 3 sessions. The sessions will each last one hour (2:30-3:30PM) and will cover the following topics:

Monday, April 20, 2009: Resume Do’s & Don’ts
Wednesday, April 22, 2009: Resume Theme & Format
Monday, April 27, 2009: Final Resume & Cover Letter

A highly competitive job market means that potential employers are being bombarded with resumes, so job seekers must have a persuasive resume to remain competitive. While skills, experience, and education remain essential to any good resume, it is also important to present that information in a compelling way. Attendees at this workshop will learn to stand out in the crowd, simply by creating a more effective resume.

Because this workshop includes individualized guidance and feedback from an experienced instructor, class size is limited. A $30 registration fee covers attendance at all 3 sessions as well as a flash drive with a copy of the attendee’s final resume and cover letter.
